During day to day running of the equipment it is good practice to establish a routine, where daily checks occur before each milking and periodic weekly maintenance occurs at the same time on the same day each week.
PERIODIC CHECKS
Daily
- After each washing ensure that the receiver assembly is properly drained.
Regularly
- The condition of the rubberware should be checked
- Listen for abnormal air leakages, particularly at joins in the milk line.
Every three months
- Check that the milk receiver and sanitary trap are being properly cleaned.
- Check for air leakage at the receiver lids.
Annually
- Replace all rubber gaskets, seals and tubes on the milk pump, receiver and sanitary trap.
- Check non-return valve is in good working order.
When hosing down, care should be taken not to direct water at the external parts of the electrical components in the assembly (particularly the milk pump and control box).
If a fault occurs with the receiver assembly, check the mains fuses, the fuse in the control box and the non-return flap valve.

Stainless Steel
This dairy parlour product is made of Stainless Steel. Stainless steel is one of the most recycled materials in the UK and has a greater inherent value than normal steels. Stainless steel products are generally built to last, but when they come to the end of their life the metal is 100% recyclable. New Stainless steel is made up of at least 25% recycled stainless steel and so your used product can be melted down and repurposed into sinks and cookers.
Please dispose of your stainless-steel dairy parlour products responsibly. Your local authority will be able to advise where and how best to recycle your stainless-steel products locally.
