Protect your herd against Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD)

To prepare for BVD legislation coming into force this summer, it is recommended that you screen your herd and consult with your veterinarian to ensure you’re keeping BVD out. If you find an antigen-positive animal, it is recommended you remove it from your herd as soon as possible. The benefits of being BVD-free include increased productivity, fertility and reduced carbon footprint. Maintaining a BVD-free status improves herd health by reducing antibiotic usage and promoting better calf health.
